Q: To go to a Hobie North American's, does my crew need to be a member of HCANA?

Yes. As per rule 26. of the INTERNATIONAL HOBIE CLASS ASSOCIATION 2013-2016 CLASS RULES all crew members on board a competing boat at Class world and regional* championships shall be members in good standing of the International Hobie Class Association in accordance with the constitution of the International Hobie Class Association. At all other events at least one crew member on board a competing boat shall be a member of the International Hobie Class Association in accordance with the constitution of the International Hobie Class Association unless prescribed otherwise in notice of race.
* Regional championships are defined as IHCA Regional Championships e.g. North American Championships, European Championships etc.

ORCA Schedule

The cat-alist schedule is more detailed because it is a combination of the ORCA specific events, Hobie Division 16 and Hobie Division 11 regattas. Some Division 11 regattas are possible when driving from Toronto. Why? As there are less events in Hobie Division 16 but especially because the level of competition is high so you can sharpen your teeth!
